Did You Request a Free Face Mask That Didn’t Come?

July 19, 2021 by Wendy Fake Finder

BEWARE: Free Reusable Face Mask from SweaterMasters is a SCAM

Before you head to request this alleged free reusable face mask from SweaterMasters, read this! Because, this place is up to no good. They are not legit, and you will not receive anything. With the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, many areas are suggesting or even requiring the use of face masks. In this time of crisis, bad behavior crops up from the cracks. Steer clear of this place, because it’s a scam!

Here’s what you need to know! Please share this with your friends and help us keep freebie lovers safe!

Alleged Freebie:

  • Before you head over to request a free reusable face mask be sure to read our findings.

The Claim:

Need a face mask? The Sweater Masters is providing them for free (including shipping). Constructed using two layers of linen and cotton fabric, these masks are washable and reusable. The recommendation is to wear the face mask at all times when you’re in public, where social distancing is most difficult. Please fill in your details … and we will send it to you as soon as possible.

Tell us where to send your face mask:
One size. Unisex. Limit 1 per household. You can expect to receive the mask within 2-4 weeks. Valid email and address is required. Incorrect addresses will be void

Findings (What makes it fake?)

  • While there’s not a typical Spam popup after submit (an unrelated offer pops up and wants you to fill it out), there is a screen asking you to “participate” so the scammers get PAID when you do! They’re tricking you into making them money. These are always 100% fake.
  • No product info
  • Product images are generic stock photos
  • No company info or address is a vacant lot, etc.
  • Site uses stock language for products which is replicated on several other scam sites.
  • Their contact me suggests they’re in Mexico. How could a company with almost no products to sell afford international postage to anyone who wants a free mask?
