Fake Freebie: Free Adjustable Measuring Spoon from Flatbread Grill
Before you head over to claim this alleged Free Adjustable Measuring Spoon, be sure to check out our research.
After all, we are the home of the Gimmie’s Big List of Fake Freebies to Avoid. We research all samples before we share to keep you safe online. You may not realize it, but scammers and spammers are notorious for posting fake offers. There are lots of reasons why people post fake freebies, but usually it is about money. They build up a website or Facebook fanpage and then sell it for profit. Or, they take your info submitted in their alleged freebie form, and sell it to Spammers. Some even deposit malicious code when you visit the website!
Findings:
- There’s a spam popup after submit now, a sure sign of a fake freebie, you can even get the spam popup without even filling out the form. Just click submit.
- There is no link for the free offer from the home page nor the Facebook page. Nobody except other freebie sites advertising this offer on their Facebook fanpage for their own exposure.
- The business is legit, but it seems as though they have been hacked.
- This is a smaller business located in New Jersey, with small localized businesses, it’s highly unlikely that they would give out freebies to anyone anywhere!
Conclusion:
Steer clear! If you can get the form to actually work and get pass the spam to submit, this freebie will never come.
So, to stay safe we highly recommend that you read our Big List of Fakes and learn how to protect yourself on every single freebie you sign up for. Read also: Getting Started with Gimmie.

To: contact@gimmiefreebie.comHi there,Just wanted to say THANK YOU for posting about the fake freebie supposedly being offered by our company. We were unfortunately, hacked. If you see anyone else posting it, please spread the word. I have tried reaching out to as many free sites listing it as I can but as I’m sure you know, the internet is too vast for one person to keep up with 🙂 Our web developer posted this statement online: . It was definitely not intentional. We will try to run a REAL promotion to make up for this situation and feel so terribly people were misled. As you stated on your site (great observation by the way), we are indeed a small, local business (currently being expanded however) and we couldn’t handle a promotion this size. Thanks again for being a great watchdog! And please do not hesitate me if you have any comments or advice. Hopefully, we can correct this situation and it never happens again.Warm Regards,Gonca
