FAKE Secret Shopper Alert: Walmart Mystery Shopper
My dad received this email, alleging a big payout from Walmart if you agree to be a secret shopper for them. There are some real mystery shopper jobs out there, but typically they don’t pay much. More often than not they don’t pay much more than you’d spend for gas to get there. Even real mystery shopper jobs are definitely not a way to get rich quick. And, this isn’t real. This is a scam.
So, when I saw this email I was skeptical. I did a quick internet search and found this blog as well as this page on Walmart’s own website that confirmed my suspicion that this Walmart Mystery Shopper email is a scam.
The best thing to do is mark it “junk mail” or “spam” in your email, and ignore it. Don’t respond to them, and don’t agree to do anything with them.
